Our Story
We're building a different one.
The technology industry has spent two decades perfecting a single business model: extract value from people by making them dependent on services they don't own. Your data trains their models. Your habits generate their revenue. Your privacy is a negotiation they win.
We started Krætus because we believe this is a choice, not an inevitability. Every decision a technology company makes — how to charge, what data to keep, how to treat the people who build it — is a values statement. Ours are simple.
You should own your tools. If you pay for something, it should be yours — not a lease that can be revoked, repriced, or degraded at any time. Buy once, own forever is not a marketing line. It is a commitment.
Your data is not a product. Everything Krætus builds runs on your hardware, in your home, on your terms. We don't want your data. We don't need it. We have no incentive to take it.
Global payments should be fair. Moving money across borders should not cost 5% and take three days. The infrastructure exists. The will to build it equitably has been missing.
